computer class

the lack of control on the internet is a bid problem. Parents are not able to control what their kids do on the internet b/c the children are able to outsmart their parents. (as was shown in the video)
There are more problems then just no "limits" it is also addicting, unnatural, unhealthy and for many a big waste of time. People should realize that it is not real (such as Second Life) The internet is just a temporary place to "go to."
How ever there are many benefits and if someone would use the internet for the right reasons he/she can get a lot done. An excellent example of this would be Oboma raisng and gathering many votes on line.

  1. It's true. The internet is so attractive to the children, youths even me. I can spend hours and hours on it. I rather chat with my friends online, but not my parents. There's some kinds of gap between parents and kids. However, my parents learn how to use computer in order to talk to me. I'm glad they are doing that!

  2. I agree that the Internet is a parent's worst nightmare, and that most adolescents & teenagers waste the majority of their time engaging irrelevant, non-productive online practices. However, I don't think at this point, in this day & age, that the Internet is just some "temporary place to go". Nowadays there's always the option of doing something online; virtually NOTHING can be done in person. Whether you're paying your bills, applying for a job, managing your bank account, booking a flight, chatting with long distance relatives, ordering pizza, or just rushing onto Blackboard in the nick-of-time to submit a midnight assignment - the Internet is increasingly becoming more and more indispensable.

  3. I agree that computers kill our time.We can use the computers in a good way rather than watching movies and playing video games.Parents are highly worried about kids who spend most of their time infront of the computer. But I think if we use it in a right way,it is the easiest way to learn about the world.
